We started with one obsession — sourcing coffee worth drinking.
Toby’s Estate began in 1997, when coffee-loving lawyer Toby Smith swapped legal books for coffee cups to follow his passion. He travelled to some of the most remote corners of the globe, living amongst coffee-producing communities and seeing first-hand the lifelong dedication and sheer manual labour behind every exquisite bean.
Today we roast in Kuwait and deliver fresh across the country, but the approach hasn’t changed. Every bag still starts with a farm we know, a harvest we believe in, and a roast that lets the coffee speak.
Every origin we buy is a relationship — with a farmer, a co-op, a region. We visit, we cup, we pay fairly, and we tell the whole story on the bag.
We don’t roast ahead of demand. Every bag is roasted when your order arrives and dispatched within 48 hours — so it lands at peak flavour, not past it.
Our roastery is in Kuwait. We understand the climate, the water and the way people drink coffee here — and we roast accordingly.
